Ladycat Hoops Club to Benefit Amber Weeks
The Ladycat Hoops Club will be hosting a benefit game for Amber Weeks, daughter of Aledo ISD employee Pam Weeks, on Friday, January 27. 100% of the money we raise will go directly to the beneficiary. We will all be wearing blue to the game to support Amber. There will be several auction items to bid on.
Art Student Wins $1,000 Scholarship

Congratulations to Kylie Upward on winning third place and a $1,000 scholarship in the Fort Worth Stock Show Art Show with her knitted sculpture, "Shirley needs a shearing!”
Kylie has attended Aledo schools since first grade and learned to knit in fifth grade.  She was taught by Mrs. Harbuck. Kylie's favorite subject is chemistry and she plans to attend Missouri University of Science and Technology and major in Chemical Engineering. Kylie is an art student of Gloria Andrews.
Food Deliveries to School
The Aledo High School Student Handbook Supplement states: Food deliveries may only be brought in by the parent of the child. A parent may not bring food for students other than their own child. This will not interrupt the instructional environment and should be limited to special occasions. The management of food deliveries often becomes a disruption to the everyday business of our front office. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
